DescriptionView through a hole in the bottom of the car down one and one-quarter miles... The roads look like cotton threads, broad streams dwindle to the proportions of mountain trout brooks, and the beautiful autumnal foliage adds the charm of color to the landscape. From this point of observation Mt. Tom, Mass., the Catskills, N.Y., and Long Island Sound were plainly visible... / These are the first and only successful views ever taken from a balloon. Probably taken in the Windsor area.
