DescriptionShiny tan-colored leather, embossed with a pattern of diagonal parallel lines, so that it resembles a twilled cloth. The toes are square and the soles are flat. The shoes are a slit-vamp style, except that the side seams are very far forward, in front of the throatline, so that the quarters are L-shaped to accomodate the slit on top of the shoe. Five pairs of eyelets are punched along the slit. The remnants of a brown silk ribbon are in the first few holes. The upper is lined with white twill-woven cotton fabric, and bound with light green silk ribbon. The shoes are straight.
