DescriptionSmall two-story frame house with a center chimney. Stone walls on either side and a well roughly indicated in the right foreground.According to Barber, Robert Hempsted, one of the original settlers of New London, built this house. In 1834, it was the residence of Joshua Hempsted, a 7th generation descendant.
