DescriptionWoman's white cotton combing jacket or short nightgown. The center front opening extends the entire length and fastens with four small mother of pearl buttons. The neckline is high and round, and is finished with a 3/4-inch-wide band edged with scalloped whitework embroidery. The shoulderline is dropped. The long sleeves are gathered into the armscye. The sleeves are cut with an upper and lower seam like a coat sleeve. The wrist openings have a 2 5/8-inch-wide facing and are edged with scalloped whitework embroidered trim. The back of this garment is cut longer than the front and is dipped at the center back. The machine stitching is a chain-stitch.
