DescriptionIndividual drawings are glued into an album labeled "SKETCHES." Most depict houses, churches, schools, taverns and other buildings. Houses depicted are in Bethany, Hebron, Ledyard, Mansfield, Nepaug, Poquetanuck, and Wethersfield. Churches are in Bethany, East Haddam, Eastford, Stonington, and Tolland. Schools are in Cheshire and Ledyard. Taverns include the "Brigham Inn" and the "Buckley Tavern." One drawing depicts the Comstock Covered Bridge over the Salmon River near the East Hampton / Colchester town line. Others depict the Middletown railroad bridge, and the old mill in New London. Some inscriptions are illegible. Some sites are not in Connecticut.
