DescriptionDark leather ankle-high shoe. The upper is slit for 2 3/4 inches at center front and punched with five pairs of eyelets for lacing. There is no tongue behind the opening. The top edge and slit are bound with a narrow strip of thin, dark leather. The side seams slant forward from the middle of the shoe, so that the opening is created by the edges of the quarters, continuing as a slit through the vamp. The toe is square and there is no heel. The sole is straight, without differentiation for left or right. The shoe is lined with tan leather. The sock lining is also leather.
