DescriptionEcru fine twill-woven wool infant booties, stitched like a closed tab boot, with two pairs of stitched eyelets for lacing. The vamp and heels are embroidered with ecru silk roses. The bootie edges are bound with matching silk tape. The toes are round. The straight sole and the booties' lining is also the twill-woven wool fabric.

NotesHistorical Notes: These boots were made for the first of ten children in the Hood family, and they were worn by several of them. All the children were born in Boston, Massachusetts.
