DescriptionPale straw hat with pinched crown and a three-inch, slightly upturned brim. Hatband of pleated brown polyester crepe, printed with gray dots arranged in circles. Brown leather sweatband; interior is unlined. Paper label gives size: "1/8".

MarkingsStamped polyester label mounted inside crown: "STETSON/ Premier" [with a shield]. Stamped in gold on sweatband: "STETSON/ Premier/ GENUINE PANAMA" and a shield with "JOHN B. STETSON/ COMPANY". Also: "Ware Pratt Co./ QUALITY CORNER/ WORCESTER" and "L <> E".
