DescriptionBlack leather ski boots: one side of the boot front laps to the outside of the boot and fastens with large adjustable steel buckles. The boot covers the ankle, and is padded around the top. The opening is backed by a thickly padded tongue, which has a strip of yellow reflective tape stuck vertically over the top edge. A design of concentric circles is impressed on the leather over the outside ankle bone. The boots have thick, welted soles, the bottom layer being black rubber. The boot is clamped into an aluminum frame across the bottom.

MarkingsThe aluminum frame is stamped on the front clamps with "TYROL / CAN. PAT 1962 / U.S. PAT. 3074085 / MADE IN CANADA".
A paper airline tag "To NEW YORK / NYC" hangs from the aluminum frame.
