BiographyAllyn Goodwin, born 1797, was a silversmith in Hartford, Connecticut. In 1811, his brother Horace returned to Hartford, and the two went into business together. Their shop was located on the same plot later occupied by the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company. Allyn Goodwin died in 1869. Allyn died on 7 January 1869 in Hartford, Connecticut.
