BiographyGeorge S. Heilpern was a native of Hartford, Connecticut. He was the founder and president of Heilpern Photographers, Inc., located in Hartford, which specialized in commercial, aerial, and forensic photography.
He graduated from Ohio University in 1936 as a journalist. He was a newspaper reporter and editor for the Boston Transcript, New York Journal American, New York Daily News, and the World Telegram. He served as an aerial photographer in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In 1977, he moved to Florida. He died on 28 August 1992 in Boca Raton, Florida.
