BiographyMary (Gay) Beattie was born in 1844 in Ireland. She married John Beattie (1821-1899) in 1871. They had one child, Peter Beattie (1872-1940). Her husband owned the John Beattie Granite Quarry on Leetes Island in Guilford, Connecticut. She died on 19 October 1928 in Guilford, Connecticut.
