BiographyCarolyn P. Kelly, born in 1937, is an American lawyer known for her expertise in Workers' Compensation, particularly under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act. She earned her B.A. in International Affairs from Syracuse University in 1959 and her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1970, where she was Comments Editor of the Oregon Law Review.
Kelly made significant contributions to the development of Longshore case law in the Second Circuit, representing claimants in several cases. She joined Suisman Shapiro in 2008. Kelly is also a Trustee Emeritus for the Sea Research Foundation, which operates Mystic Aquarium.
