DescriptionMan's vest of dark brown silk with a woven berry sprig in blue and tan. The vest has a shawl collar. The center front opening fastens with six brown, silk-covered buttons. The vest has a curved breast pocket on the proper left side and a 4 3/4-inch-wide, curved, welted pocket on each lower side. The vest front is fitted with short darts at the armholes. The vest front is padded. The backing fabric is dark brown, plain-woven, glazed cotton. The fit of the vest is adjusted with a self-fabric buckled strap across the lower back. The center back seam is notched at the lower edge. The vest is lined with plain-woven white cotton. The lower edges of the front panels are lined with dark brown leather.
