DescriptionMan's vest of golden-tan silk faille, with a shawl collar. The center front opening fastens with four self-covered buttons. There is a breast pocket on the proper left side and a 4 1/2-inch-wide pocket on each side of the lower front. The vest front is fitted with a two-inch gusset near each side seam. The backing fabric is plain-woven cream-colored silk. The fit of the vest is adjusted with a self-fabric buckled strap across the lower back. The upper vest fronts are padded. The lower edges of the front panels are lined with white leather. The rest of the vest is lined with plain-woven, white cotton. The center back seam is notched at the lower edge.
