Printed in black ink on front: "Your attention is invited to Department of Defense Directive 5410.6, / dated October 25, 1963, on the subject of Cooperation with U.S. News / Media Representatives at the Scene of Military Accidents Occurring / Outside Military Installations. This directive has been reissued by / the Military Services as AFR 190-10, AR 360-5, and NAVEXOS P-1035 / ART 0818. / Briefly, this directive directs the Armed Forces to cooperate with / news photographers and reporters to the maximum extent consistent / with security considerations. As a member of the Armed Forces you / are required to inform the press of the presence of any classified mate- / rials which cannot be moved [illegible] and I, as a member of the / media, am aware of my own [illegible] with respect to classified / matter under Federal law. The directive enjoins against use of force / in protecting classified matter and directs that the Armed Forces, if / a need should arise, will request the assistance of civil law enforce- / ment officials and the cooperation of my superiors."
