DescriptionViews of Hartford, many of them of Main Street, many taken from an elevated viewpoint, inlcude commercial buildings, churches, and parades. Some photographs include bunting, horse-drawn vehicles, including horse-drawn cabs, and an American flag. At least one photographs depicts Battle Flag Day, September 17, 1877. Another depicts an Armistice Day parade on November 11, 1939. Ohers show the Municipal Building, the view east from Travelers, the view west from Travelers, the view from Colt's Fire Arms Manufactory, and the view from the State Armory.
