DescriptionBoy's dress of linen-colored cotton, with a high, round neckline edged in piping and a narrow, turn-down collar. The dress is constructed with princess seams and a flared skirt. The princess seams are highlighted by narrow, brown wool soutache braid laid along the seams. This soutache, worked in an arrow-point branching pattern, appears on the collar and over the shoulders. The bottom of the skirt is decorated in arabesque patterns. The two-piece coat sleeves are worked in a pattern similar to a fleur de lis across the top of the wrist. The center back opening extends 12 1/2 inches and fastens with five white porcelain buttons.
