DescriptionQuart-size cast pewter baptismal basin, part of a pewter Communion service consisting of a flagon (.1), three mugs (.2.1-.3), a baptismal basin (.3), and two patens (.4-.5). The basin has a single raised bead at the outer edge of the narrow rim, straight tapered sides, and a flat bottom. An incised line circles the interior bottom of the basin. The underside of the basin has skimming marks. The basin is lightly tarnished and well worn. It has multiple small dents and scratches. The interior and rim have many small gouges.
