DescriptionHalf length studio portrait of Sherwood Alfred Cheney as a young boy. He is looking off camera to the left. Sherwood is wearing a tweed jacket that has a double row of buttons down the front. A large white collar is peeking out from under the jacket, and he is wearing a bow at his neck. Sherwood has long, curly hair. Some of it is coiled and pinned on the top of his head. There is a thin black line running around the image area, making a border. The edges of the carte-de-visite are gilt.
