Ward Cheney served as a First Lieutenant in the Fourth Infantry, U.S. Army. William Madden was a corporal with Company G, First Connecticut Volunteer Infantry. Henry Montgomery was a private in Company F, First Connecticut Volunteer Infantry. Charles Warren was Fourth Sergeant in Company G, First Connecticut Volunteer Infantry. Seth Leslie Cheney was a corporal in Company G, First Connecticut Volunteer Infantry. Austin Cheney was a private with Battery A, First Connecticut Volunteer Artillery.
