DescriptionGroup of thirteen shot glasses made of pressed colorless glass, each with a plain rim, thin tapered sides, and a flat bottom. Each has white etched advertisements for Old Rye Malt Whiskey from J. G. Lane of Hartford, Connecticut. There is a band of gilding at each rim. All of the shot glasses are a slightly different size.

Shot Glasses (.1981-.1983 and .1987-.1993): These ten shot glasses, made of colorless glass, have the same etched text advertisement, which reads, "FINEST/ OLD RYE/ MALT WHISKEY". Beneath this, the text varies slightly from "J. G. Lane/ HARTFORD,CONN" on (.1981 and .1982) to, "The J. G. Lane Company/ HARTFORD, CONN." on (.1983 and .1987-.1993).

Shot Glasses (.1984-.1986): These three shot glasses, made of colorless glass, have the same etched advertisement, consisting of a nineteenth-century bottle. Inside the bottle are the words, "Finest/ Old Rye/ Malt/ Whiskey/ J. G. Lane/ Hartford, Conn."

The gilding at the rim is worn on all of the shot glasses, although the gilding is worn the least on (.1984 to .1986).
