DescriptionA silk mourning ribbon for Abraham Lincoln. The top of the ribbon is detached from the main ribbon. The ribbon features an image of Abraham Lincoln in the center with the following text beneath the image: "THE LATE / Lamented / President / Lincoln." The detached top piece has the text: "ASSASSINATED AT WASHINGTON / 14 APRIL 1865 / I HAVE SAID NOTHING BUT WHAT I AM / WILLING TO LIVE BY. AND IF IT BE THE / PLEASURE OF ALMIGHTY GOD, TO DIE BY. / (A. LINCOLN)."
