DescriptionA woman holds up a young child, probably a girl, to look at a framed portrait, probably an oil painting, of a woman. She wears a dress with long sleeves and a shawl. Her hair is in a snood with two roses pinned to it. The child wears a short dress laced up the front, over an undergarment. The woman in the portrait wears a dress trimmed with lace and a necklace of pearls. Patterned wallpaper is on the wall. Drapery is at the left.
