DescriptionWoman's dress of bright royal blue fabric with matching lace sleeves and yoke. The dress is constructed with a slip of blue rayon or silk attached at the shoulders. The overdress is a bright blue, sheer fabric, possibly a leno weave. The overdress has a low-waisted skirt stitched to the torso in a curved seam that is echoed in the wide scallops of the hem. The bodice hangs straight from a low lace yoke that is also curved in a wide scallop both front and back. A wide (8 3/4 inches), decorative flat flounce is stitched to the seam joining the lace yoke and bodice of the dress. This flat piece, hemmed to match the curves of the waist, yoke and neck, hangs straight down over the bust.

The yoke and sleeves are made from a machine lace in matching blue. The neckline is a wide scoop parallel to the lines below. The narrow lace sleeves fasten with two snaps at each wrist. Each sleeve has a 5 1/4 inch wide, gathered flounce of lace stitched on top of the wrist. Both the sleeves and neck are bound with a narrow blue tape.
