DescriptionWoman's day dress and matching sash of white cotton printed with a small, scattered motif in brown of a flower and leaves. The dress, which closes in the back with eight self-covered buttons, has a yoked bodice of ruched self-fabric, trimmed along the bottom edge with bobbin lace. The lower half of the bodice is gathered into the yoke and into the waistband. The sleeves are set smoothly into the slightly lowered armscye seams. They end in self-fabric ruffles around the wrists. The waistband is 2 1/8 inches wide. The skirt is slightly gathered in front and more closely gathered in the back. Two tiers of flounces encircle the bottom of the skirt, which has a three-inch hem. The dress is unlined. The separate sash (.b) consists of a narrow waistband, with two eleven-inch-wide tails of self-fabric at the center back; each tail is pulled up into a deep loop and trimmed along the bottom edge with bobbin lace.
