DescriptionRound, earthenware plate with a serrated rim, striped slip decoration, and a clear lead glaze. The surface of the plate was decorated with colored slip, in this case white and brown. The white slip was applied in wide stripes, with narrow brown stripes between. The lead glaze over the slip does not reach the rim, but does cause the white slip to look yellow. There is significant crazing to the glazed surface, and several chips of glaze and slip are missing from the center of the plate. There are many scratches on the glazed surface of the plate.
