DescriptionRound, deep, porcelain ashtray with a black glaze on the top and sides. The ashtray has horizontal ribs circling the sides, and an off-center, almost circular, well intended to hold ashes. There are four semi-circular indentations along the rim of the ashtray. A wider, semi-circular indentation decorates the top of the ashtray to the side of the well; it was perhaps intended to hold a pipe. The glaze is generally opaque, although the white porcelain is visible beneath the glaze at the edges of the rim and at one spot on the side.
A small, circular area of an unknown substance has adhered to the bottom of the well. There are a few light scratches along the highest points of the rim.
