DescriptionWoman's "Mother Hubbard" dress of cotton, printed in a large-scale paisley design in burgundy, black, and white. The dress has a yoke across the shoulders and a high, round neckline with a gathered ruff of self-fabric. The front and back of the dress are decoratively gathered across the bottom of the yoke, with the fullness released and falling straight to the hem. The long sleeves are gathered very full into the shoulderline. They are also gathered around the wrist onto a narrow band on the inside of the sleeve, leaving a 1 3/4-inch-wide ruffle around the opening. The dress opens at center front for about 22 inches, fastening with four abalone buttons concentrated near the top. The hem is four inches deep. There is one patch pocket on the proper right front.
