DescriptionThe boots are molded of white rubber, with a coarsely textured "sole" and an "upper" textured to resemble woven fabric. They have a Louis-style heel that is molded in one piece with the boot, and a narrow oval toe. The boots are lined with white rabbit fur, which is turned over the edges of the top and the center front opening, which is laced with a plaited rayon cord.

The box is cardboard, covered in cream-colored paper, with an applied paper label in black, white, and orange on the lid, reading: "TOP NOTCH / BEACON FALLS RUBBER FOOTWEAR." The bottom of the box is stamped with the manufacturer's label and style description of the boots. (See "Marks.")

Handwritten in pencil to the left of this is "2175 / 4-"

The boots are marked on the bottom: "MADE IN U.S.A. / 8 1/2" and within a raised blue disk: "BEACON / FALLS" on either side of "TOP / NOTCH / U.S.A."
