DescriptionRound, hard paste porcelain plate with overglaze gilding and gold enamel. The center of the plate is decorated with a small gilt design of abstract flowers and scrolls. This is surrounded by concentric borders at the rim of the plate. First is a scalloped gilt line with small medallions pointing toward the center of the plate. The next border is a plain gilt line, followed by a gold enamel border consisting of a wavy line interrupted periodically by flowers and leaves. This is surrounded by a final line of gilding at the rim.

MarkingsThere are three marks on the bottom of the plate. Two are in overglaze green enamel: "LIMOGES/ [star]/ FRANCE" and, "Blakeman & Henderson/ Limoges ~ France". One mark in overglaze red enamel reads, "HENRY KOHN & SONS/ Hartford, Conn".
