DescriptionLarge, white, baluster-shaped ironstone jar with a flared rim, narrower neck, and wide body that rests on a tall pedestal foot. Two molded lug handles have been applied just under the neck and over the two mold lines on the body of the jar. The jar is decorated with a transfer-printed inscription on one side that reads "LEECHES" in Roman serif letters. One handle, to the right of the "LEECHES" label, has cracked completely through, although the handle probaby did not fall off. There is light crazing on the inside of the jar near the rim.
