DescriptionNinth plate daguerreotype portrait of Herbert Day by an unknown photographer. Day is probably in his early 30s in the image. He is wearing a jacket with the top button fastened over a vest and white shirt. He is wearing a cravat tied around his neck. His hair is worn slightly long and parted to one side. He sports a beard that does not connect with his sideburns, and does not have a mustache.
