DescriptionA boy and and a girl stand at the lower right. The boy holds a long striped stocking in his right hand. Behind them, within a circle, is the head of an elderly man, probably Santa Claus or Saint Nicholas. He is bald and has a mustache and beard. Toys protrude from a basket on his back. A sign that reads "HARTFORD CT." is at the lower left. A vignette depicting an arched stone bridge, leafless trees, and evergreen trees by moonlight is above. At the upper left, the head of an infant, possibly the New Year, looks out of a round hole in a beehive. A rainbow is at the upper right. Beneath it, a fairy bearing a banner flies towards the right. Leafless limbs with red berries are along the upper and right edges.
