DescriptionNinth plate hand-tinted daguerreotype of a portrait, possibly done in pastels, of Parthenia Beckwith Turpin. She is wearing a short-sleeved dress with what appears to be an empire waist, with a tucker over the low neckline, fastened at the bust with a brooch.
