DescriptionHand-colored print, "View of the city of Hartford," presenting Hartford as seen from the Connecticut River, with the eastern shore in the foreground on the right, and the river in the midground, with a variety of boats on it. The city is in the far midground. From left to right, the prominent buildings are (probably) South Church, Center Church, the Old State House, two unidentified buildings, Christ Church Cathedral, and two more unidentified buildings. The river is lined with smaller buildings.
