DescriptionAn elderly man with a beard and mustache is seated in a dungeon surrounded by lions. He wears a long cloak or robe over a long-sleeved shirt made of wool or hair. His hands are folded in his lap. Two male lions lie on the ground at his feet. The lion at the left has his paw on a bone. A third male lion, immediately behind the man, is roaring. Two lionesses are in the background. One leaps up to look at two men wearing turbans, who look down through an arched window. The other lioness lies on the floor near another large bone. The forepart of the dungeon appears to be a cave cut in rock. The back part is constructed of dressed stone. Three large iron rings are in the wall at the far right.
