DescriptionRectangular basket made of ash and oak. The rectangular rim is single wrapped and double reinforced, with half-round interior and exterior reinforcement. The warp and weft splints are medium to wide. The basket is decorated on three sides only, with strawberries in Mohegan pink and bluing. The basket probably never had a cover.

The interior of the basket is partially lined with an advertisement printed in black ink on white paper. Within a square, ornate floral border is a headdress with three feathers, over the words, "SUPERFINE/ London Pins". The top and bottom of the border have an additional triangular section of floral border. The printing in the top triangle is inverted; it is the words "LONDON PINS" over a lion with his front paw on what looks like a shield. The triangular border on the bottom contains a second, smaller headdress with three feathers.
