DescriptionSmall, thin-walled, spherical redware pitcher with a pronounced spout, globular body, and a handle connecting the rim with the body of the pitcher. The spout, rim, and upper portion of the handle have a white glaze, while the remainder of the pitcher has a clear glaze. Small black or brown spots are splattered over all the glazed surfaces of the pitcher. To the left of the handle, the following inscription was written on the glaze, "Ocean Beach-Park/ New London, Conn". The letters for the inscription were formed with a gilded substance, much of which has worn off, leaving a matte substance adhered to the surface of the pitcher. There is a crack in the pitcher, to the left of the handle, that runs from the rim almost all the way to the bottom.
