DescriptionRocco Thomas Capobianco's WWII Army Air Corps uniform: (a) Wool field jacket with (b) pants, and (c) knit scarf. All pieces are olive drab in color.
(a) Jacket is size 36L, Stock No. 55-J-384-585, Spec # 437and is constructed according to Military specifications from 18 oz. Serge Wool with 5 oz. cotton twill lining. Capobianco's medals and bars are affixed to the chest area of the jacket. The sleeves feature various patches related to the WWII 15th Air Corps. The fasteners on the jacket are as follows: Buttons (14 total):6 x front closure; 2 x 2 cuffs; 1 x 2 shoulder loops; 1 x 2 front pockets. Snaps: One pressure snap to hold down the waistband tab.
(b) Pants are constructed from 18oz. olive drab Serge Wool with 13 button closures: 5 x front closure; 1 x gas flap; 1 x left rear pocket; and 6 suspender buttons.
(c) Scarf is knit and features fringe.
