Description(a) U. S. Army enlisted man’s 1942-specifications size 7-1/4 side cap in olive drab wool serge, medal (b) was originally affixed to cap (a) but has been removed for the safety of both objects. The side cap has some light staining and pest holes from age and wear.
(b) Connecticut Veterans Wartime Service Medal, pin-back, silk stiriped ribbon, blue, white, red, white, blue, with bronze colored medal reading, "STATE OF CONNECTICUT / FOR / SERVICE" on the obverse and "UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES WARTIME VETERAN" on the reverse. The medal was affixed to cap (a) but has been separated for the safety of both objects.
