DescriptionWoman's wedding dress of cream-colored synthetic voile laid over cream-colored polyester. The dress has a wide neckline, which dips into a V in the back. The elbow-length sleeves are decorated with a V-shaped pleat and three self covered buttons at the opening.

Machine made lace embellished with faux pearls is appliquéd diagonally across the bodice front, then continues down the left side of the skirt front. In the back this appliqué embellishes the neckline area. A pleated self-fabric band crosses the waistline in front. The skirt, which is very full and supported by stiff netting, has a train. The center back opening fastens with a line of closely spaced, self-covered buttons and loops, headed by a metal hook and eye. The waistline dips at the center back. The bodice is fitted by two vertical darts in the front and back. A woven tape label is stitched inside the proper right side of the bodice back opening: "G. FOX & CO. / Bridal Salon / HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT" in light blue on white. Tapes stitched inside the skirt would have pulled the skirt up into a bustle for the reception.
