DescriptionGirl's dress of sheer white cotton, decorated with pintucks and bobbin-type lace. The dress has a yoke with a high, round neckline edged with lace. The yoke is constructed of insertions of lace alternating with strips of pin-tucked self-fabric, set on opposing diagonals to form a wide V effect. A strip of lace is stitched up the center of the V. The yoke is edged with a 4 1/4-inch-wide ruffle of pin-tucked self-fabric and lace. The above-elbow-length sleeves are gathered into the armscye and into a narrow band edged with a lace ruffle around the opening. The bodice fabric is gathered into the yoke seam and into the 1 3/4-inch-wide waistband, which is covered with two rows of lace. The skirt is gathered all around the waistband. It is decorated for the lower nine inches with alternating rows of pintucks and lace insertion; it is edged with scalloped lace. The center back opening extends 24 inches and fastens with hooks and eyes at the yoke and waistband.
