DescriptionGirl's dress of white cotton printed with red and chartreuse oval dots. The neckline is wide; the edge is piped. The bodice front is pleated into the neckline and into the 1 1/2-inch-wide waistband. The short sleeves are gathered into the piped armscye and into a narrow self-fabric binding, which is also piped. The lining is shorter than the sleeves, causing them to puff. The full skirt is gathered around the waist. Two 1 1/2-inch-deep tucks decorate the bottom of the skirt. The center back opening extends 13 1/2 inches and fastens with six mismatched shell buttons. The bodice is lined with plain linen. The sleeve openings are edged with narrow eyelet embroidery, worked in triangular points.
