DescriptionMan's vest of brown velvet with a double dot in white. The vest is double-breasted and has a shawl collar that narrows at the back of the neck. The six buttons of the closure are covered with a black and brown fabric, woven with a flower that is set at the top of each button. There is a slanted breast pocket on the proper left side, and a 4 1/4-inch-wide pocket on each side of the lower front. The vest is padded in the chest area to create the desired fashionable silhouette. The back of the vest is dark brown, twill-woven cotton. The lower edges of the vest fronts are lined with a strip of dark brown leather.
