DescriptionWhite kid leather buttoned boots, with Louis-shaped knock-on heel and rounded square toe. The button fly is reverse-scalloped (so that the shape is like bat wings), with decorative top-stitching in dark thread. The boots are lined along the top with matching white leather; the rest is lined with white plain-woven cotton. The sock lining is glazed white cotton. The soles are shaped for right and left feet, with a narrow waist. The buttons have been removed from both boots, but two or three white domed china buttons with metal shanks, pinned or loose, are retained with each boot.
