DescriptionInfant's dress of white cotton, with vertical rows of whitework embroidery alternating with pintucks and separated by faggoting on the bodice front. The wide, square neckline is controlled by a drawstring and edged with eyelet. The short sleeves are decorated with rows of pintucks and a band of whitework embroidery. The waist is defined by a band of whitework. The skirt is closely gathered into the waistband. The bottom of the skirt is bordered with rows of pintucks and whitework, like the bodice front. It is edged with scalloped whitework. The back of the dress is open for 12 1/2 inches. It closes with thread-covered buttons and narrow tape loops at the waist and neckline. A double drawstring also ties at the neckline.
