DescriptionInfant's chemise of white linen. The body is gathered into a one-inch band, which forms a very wide neckline. The sleeves are about 3 1/2 inches long and are also gathered into the neckline band. The sleeves are cut with a square extension which folds up diagonally to create a gusset under the arm. The neckline band and sleeves are edged with narrow, slightly coarse, bobbin lace. The center back is open for about 4 1/2 inches and fastens with a single mother of pearl button at the neckline band. The seams are flat-felled.
