DescriptionInfant's long white cotton dress, with a high, round neckline edged with bobbin lace. The front of the dress below the neckline is embellished with vertical rows of pintucks and rows of featherstitching. This decoration extends for 2 1/2 inches below the center front neckline. The full sleeves are gathered into the armscye and into a narrow band of self-fabric, embroidered with featherstitching, around the wrist opening. Bobbin lace edges this band. The back of the dress is box-pleated into the neckline. The center back opening extends 8 1/2 inches and fastens with two mismatched mother of pearl buttons. The hem is 3 3/4 inches deep.
