DescriptionThree-quarter-length view of a young man standing in the interior of a room, probably a parlor. He wears a coat, vest, necktie, and trousers. He has a flower, probably a rose, in his buttonhole, and holds a pocket watch on a long chain in his right hand. His top hat, scarf, gloves, and walking stick are on a table covered with a patterned tablecloth at the left. Drapery with a cord and tassel is in the left background. A chair, a sea shell, and a vase on a shelf or mantle, and a framed picture or mirror are in the right background.
